Mark Segovis  (2023)

Mark Segovis was a graduate of Little Rock Parkview High School who became one of the University of Central Arkansas’ most decorated track and field athletes. In the mid-1970’s, he was a dominant middle- distance runner in the AIC, earning all-AIC honors eight times. He was also a three-time NAIA District 17 champion in cross country.

(5 mile school record of 25:09), helping team to a 4th place finish
  • 1975 – AIC Championship Meet – 1st Place Mile (4:14.1); 1st Place 3 Mile (14:24.9, record), helping team to win the AIC Conference Championship
  • 1975 – AIC/NAIA District 17 Cross Country – 1st Place (5 mile school record of 25:01), helping team to a 3rd place finish
  • 1976 – AIC Championship Meet – 1st Place 3 Mile (14:14.5, record); 2nd Place Mile (4:10.9) 
  • 1976 – AIC/NAIA District 17 Cross Country – 1st Place
  • 1977 – AIC Championship Meet – 1st Place 5000 meters (15:06.72, record); 2nd Place 1500 meters (3:52.21)
  • 1978 – AIC/NAIA District 17 Cross Country – 1st Place
