Jackie Seale (2016)
Seale ran for the Mulerider track program from 1966-69 as an individual sprinter and as a part of several relay teams.
In his time at SAU, Seale set or tied school records in the 100-yard dash (1967), the 220-yard dash (1967), 440-yard relay (1966), the 880-yard relay (1967), the mile relay (1967), and the mile-medley relay (1967). Of those records, the 100, the 200, and the 880 relay were also Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference (AIC) records at the time. In 1966, Seale was a member of a 440-yard relay team that placed third, and was on a mile relay team that placed fourth at the NAIA National Meet. Individually, Seale was a two-time NAIA All-American and a three-time All-AIC performer. In 1967 and 1968, Seale helped lead SAU (then Southern State College) to AIC Championships; the first two conference titles in program history. |
