ROBERT RICKS, JR.: Little Rock Mills HS, UCA
Fuller Junior High School:
  • Two-year letterman in football and basketball
  • Three-year letterman in track and field 1983-1985
  • Led Fuller JHS to consecutive conference championships in 1983, 1984, and 1985.


  • 100 m, 200m, high jump champion 1984 & 1985
  • School records in the 100m 11.1, 200m 22.21         4 x 100m 44.84
  • Fuller JHS Male Athlete if the Year 1984-1885

Little Rock Mills High School

  • 3-year Letterman Football Running Back & Receiver
  • 4-year letterman Track & Field under Coach Sam Brown
  • Lettered as a 9th grader in high school in the high jump, 200m, and the 400m in 1985 at the AAAA Central Meet 
  • Set the LR Mills High Jump record at 6’9” as a sophomore (1986) which still stands.
  • All-Conference T & F 1986, 1987,1988.  All relays, 100m, 200m and high jump.
  • Holds school records in the 200m 21.5, tied the 100m record 10.6, 400m relay record 41.7, 4 x 200 1:27 and 
  • 4 x 400 3:19.9
  • Voted All-Arkansas Track & Field 1988.

Robert Ricks, Jr. had an outstanding career in Track & Field at the University of Central Arkansas, earning All-AIC & NAIA All-American honors four consecutive years 1989-1992.

  • Awards/Honors after UCA include being named Big Brother/Big Sister Mentor of the Year for the Memphis area in 2009.  He continues to work through Phi Beta Sigma/Sigma Beta Club to promote diversity and change for underprivileged youths in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He is currently the National Director for Alternative Fuel Fleetcor/Comdata Inc.

    Inducted into UCA Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
