Jim Crawford (2000)
Crawford ran track for Harding University. He was the first Arkansas runner to break the 4-minute mile with a time of 3:59.6 in 1970. His all-time best was 3:56.9. He had the best indoor mile time in the world in 1972 with a 3:58.0.
In 1993 he finished in the U.S. Masters and Great Britain Masters top three in the 5000 and 10,000 meter runs. He was in the finals in the 1968 and 1972 Olympic Trials in the 1500. |
