Alistair Craig  (2016)

Alistair was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and currently lives in the United States. He came to the US and attended college at Southern Methodist University later transferring to the University of Arkansas.

Under the direction of Coach John McDonnell, he became one of the finest distance runners to attend the University of Arkansas.

While at Fayetteville he was:
  • 13-time All American
  • 7-time NCAA Champion
  • 9-time SEC Champion
  • SEC record holder in 5000m indoor and outdoor
  • Named 2004 Collegiate Athlete of Year by Track &Field News

Upon leaving the University of Arkansas he has represented Ireland in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics in the 5000 and 10000 meters. He currently holds the Irish National records in the 3000 and 5000 meters indoors and the 5,000 and 10,000 meters outdoors.
